TRUCKERS PROJECT

ADITHI’s intervention programme was with truckers on highways for HIV/AIDS from DFID, initially. Now it is with NACO and now working through Bihar State AIDS Society. The area of operation is from Patna bye-pass to Muzaffarpur. ADITHI with the implementing partner organization, Centre Direct is trying to reduce the spread of STDs/HIV among primary stakeholders at both halt points and making the highway safe in relation to risk behaviors of target group. Under this project, mobile photo exhibitions have been held, orientation of SSHs on sexual health related issues, free distribution and social marketing of condoms and treatment of STD patients has taken place. We have reached out to 15950 people
