☺    Sharecroppers’ yield of wheat this year was 92.12 kgs per khatta as compared with 30 kg. per khatta in 1992.

☺    The sharecroppers own a tractor, which is being used to its full capacity by the women.

☺    Sharecroppers now have security of tenure. This is being replicated in other blocks and districts.

☺    The development of “barefoot researchers” from the sharecroppers has been significant in the development of the programme.

☺    MKVK is an authorized distributor of urea, which it gets at a landed cost of Rs.4.25/- per kg.

Vermicompost, started in a small way some years ago is now made on a larger scale. Crops grown with vermicompost, have no pests.
