Polio Eradication Programme

The grant for UNICEF-supported Polio Eradication Programme (through our partner NGO, Nari Nidhi in Muzaffarpur) is about a lakh per event. There are eight such held for ten to fifteen days in a year. The cold chain for the polio vaccine is satisfactory. The coverage of children is estimated at 95%. Nari Ndihi has a new project for Polio Eradication in two blocks of Vaishali district and strengthening routine immunization of children upto nine months old.
